The item for sale is unopened! The penlight being photographed is my personal light.
To use, hold the button until the light comes on (it takes a few seconds). To cycle colors after that, just a short press of the button will change the color.
You can cycle through several colors, the default color is the blue shown in the second photo.
It does have it's battery cover! Just removed it in the third pic to show the batteries it needs.
