Authentic Victorian-era portrait brooch, dating to the late 19th century (c. 1870–1900). This piece features a porcelain portrait with transfer-printed imagery, set in a gold-tone mount with its original Victorian C-clasp pin.
Transfer portraits were commonly used in the Victorian era and allowed for highly romantic, painterly imagery while remaining accessible. The soft tones, feminine profile, and period mount are consistent with genuine 19th-century production.

⚠️ Clasp condition:
The original C-clasp does not currently open due to age-related oxidation. The pin and clasp structure remain intact but are seized from age. This is common with Victorian brooches and has not been forced.
