First edition (print number not stated) oversized hardcover copy of My Hunting Sketch Book by Lionel Edwards (Eyre & Spottiswoode / Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1928). Written and illustrated by the author. Many full-color plated with printed handwritten notes by Edwards. A beautiful antique book showcasing the art and hunting history of Edwards. Boards moderately soiled, with some staining, especially around the edges. Boards bowed away from text block at fore edges. Corners bumped and frayed. Slightly cocked spine with several instances of split binding and a few areas of apparently reinforced binding with cloth tape adhered to some gutters. Bookseller’s sticker to rear endpaper and blemish to top right corner of front endpaper where a similar sticker likely was removed. Tanning pages. See photos for condition.
