This is an original WW2 field cap which belonged to the African division (deutsches afrika korps) which campaigned in North Africa from 21 February 1941 – 13 May 1943 under the famous general Rommel the desert fox. This hat is in excellent condition, with no holes, and the inside lining of the hat is a red colored fabric with the size stamping still visible. This particular hat was bought from another collection.
