This extraordinarily rare Art Deco necklace is crafted from cobalt-colored uranium glass beads, marked with a Czechoslovakia clasp that confirms its authentic Bohemian origin. The cobalt oxide gives the beads their deep-blue color, while uranium oxide makes them glow brilliantly under UV light.
Unlike the common yellow-green uranium glass, this necklace has a bold cobalt appearance in natural light and transforms under UV into a vivid green glow. The graduated faceted beads are separated by clear glass spacers, and the original spring ring clasp is stamped Czechoslovakia, a mark used primarily in the 1920s1930s.
