Rare HTF Signed Bates & Bacon sterling silver/gold plated vermeil fawns head brooch. Has 2 Ruby glass cabochons for the eyes and clear rhinestones in the ears. One ear is missing 1 rhinestone. The other is missing 2. The gold plate is in remarkably good condition, con the age of the piece. This brooch was advertised in a March 1945 print advertisement for Horne’s Department Store of Pittsburgh, PA. The design is attributed to Oscar Placco. Smoke free home.
