Stunning handmade hand knotted antique Persian rug. Size is exactly 4x6, 48x72. 100% Wool pile with traditional cotton foundation. In excellent condition.
My mom has had it over 40 years but hasn’t used it in the past 20-25 years. She paid a small fortune for it back then, $600 and that’s when gas was $0.24 per gallon just to put it in perspective. Growing up I always thought it was black and gold but it’s actually a dark navy. I didn’t notice the navy blue until we took it outside to photograph.
I will add more pictures later today as she is on her way to my house to drop the rug off so I can sell it for her. It also has its original tag on the back from when she bought it at the local oriental rug store.
