This fantastic hand-painted figurine was made by the Voigt Brothers factory in Sitzendorf Germany probably between 1900 and 1902. This lieutenant is dressed in his 1830s winter uniform and is standing next to what looks like a broken axle and wooden wagon wheel in a snowy scene. The rear of the base is marked Russ Kosaken Leutn 1830. On the bottom of the base it is stamped M-627 and has the Voigt Brothers three crossed blue lines. No chips, no cracks, excellent condition. Approximately 10.5" tall and 4.5" wide.
