Vintage Abalone Shell Tabs Beaded Necklace Approx 20", Bohemian Hippie Southwestern Jewelry.This is a vintage necklace made with abalone shell tabs and coral beads. Necklace length: 20 1/8 Inches. This necklace is unique and fabulous, made with petal-shaped shell--which appears to be abalone in warm neutral tan shades-strung with Corel beads. When worn, the petals fan out like a bib or shield, and the beads interspersed between each tab serve to keep everything well positioned. The abalone tabs are well chosen, and falls beautifully against the chest, and it feels comfortable to wear.
The abalone tabs are each handcut and therefore not perfectly uniform but they measure in a range of about 1” smaller ones and 2.3” larger ones give or take on both dimensions. The necklace measures 18” inches in length.
