Lovely vintage silver bangle by Beau Sterling etched with fluid floral designs. Slanted bars frame the surface to create dimensional space. 13 grams sterling silver.
This bangle holds its own as the one piece of jewelry you wear out of the house.
Width is 11mm. Internal circumference just over 7-3/4". Dealer described it as midcentury.
Beaucraft (Beau Sterling) was founded in Providence, RI in 1947 by 1947 by Luigi Russo and Ray (Rinaldo) Saccoccio, bringing old world aesthetics and craftsmanship to America. Production was majority U.S.-based with some work done in Mexico. The artisanal firm endured until (you guessed it) the conglomeratized 1980s.
The thoughtful imagery and construction, and vintage beauty, of Beaucraft are worth appreciating and preserving. If only we could get these jobs back.
