Vintage Floral Tapestry Carpetbag Purse W/Patent Leather Accents & Gold Interior

This purse has a carpetbag design in a gorgeous floral tapestry fabric featuring large castles with sweeping entrance ways in muted colors of reds, brown, green and golds. Has double top handles of tapestry edged with black patent leather held down by decorative antique brass hardware. Has black patent leather top opening with decorative antique brass clasp. Bottom of purse is also black patent leather with four antique brass pegs for protection. Interior is lined in a rich golden linen with a deep zippered pocket on one side. Dimensions 14” wide across middle, 9 1/4” long x 3 1/2” wide at the bottom and 16 1/4” high including handles. This classically designed carpetbag purse is from the 1950’s and is in wonderful vintage condition. From age, there are slight areas of wear on the patent leather and tapestry on the bottom but there are no tears, rips, holes or stains on exterior or interior of the bag. See photos.
